The Lenaea Theatre Festival is hosted annually at Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College. Inspired by the Lenaea Festival of Ancient Greece, Dr. Carl Thomas initiated the program in 1955. His desire was to establish an event that would support and encourage high school students with an interest in theatre. Over the years, Lenaea has grown into a three-day, multi-programmed event, to include special presentations, educational workshops, and networking opportunities.

This year, Vista Drama participated in the Lenaea Festival and presented “The Lottery”, a One-Act play by Shirley Jackson.  Additionally, students presented monologues, musical theatre solos, and duo scenes.

Congratulations to our Vista Award Winners!

Zaara Little – Gold Medal for Outstanding Performance in a One Act

Dre Barba – Silver Medal for her original monologue, “Suicide”
